4. Don’t excuse yourself
Try to live in a state of awareness and accountability, without feeling the need to make excuses – primarily to yourself – for what you did or didn’t do. It’s often so easy to get caught up in the web of constantly making excuses for our failures (instead of treating them like lessons – hence, failures don’t exist) or feelings of inadequacy. The idea here is to, simply, not make them. Instead, make lists or, if you’re really into challenging yourself, promises about doing something better. Every single time you do it.
