Who is Lindsay Shookus?
The 37-year-old, who originally hails from Williamsville, N.Y., a small town just outside of Buffalo. She is a Journalism graduate from the University of North Carolina and started working as an assistant producer at Saturday Night Live in 2002. While she was working her way up the ranks, reaching producer status, Shookus reached enviable status in the industry and made a name for herself, most notably for booking music guests for the legendary show. For instance, she booked Chance the Rapper while he as still a relatively unknown artist and Miley Cyrus for the show’s season premiere, that led to a significant ratings jump from the previous year. For these and other accomplishments, she made Billboard’s Top 50 Most Powerful Music Executives in both 2015 and 2016. Her work on SNL earned her 5 Emmy nominations and one win, s a producer for Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary special.
Incidentally, it is at her workplace that Shookus met both her now ex-husband, Kevin Miller, as well as Affleck. Reports say that Shookus and Miller met on her first day of work and married in 2010. The two share one daughter together (who is about 4) and, reportedly, reside in the same NYC Building since their separation, where they share co-parenting activities.
While it still hasn’t been determined whether the new couple actually met during Affleck’s SNL hosting gig in May 2013, reports of their flirting started swirling shortly after and, allegedly, their relationship continued over the years. A source close to Affleck says, however, that the two did not get romantic until after his separation from Garner in 2015. Other sources claim that the two were enjoying a “full on affair”, flying back and forth between Los Angeles and New York City to spend time together.
According to Us Weekly, Garner and Miller found out about their then-spouses’ alleged relationship at the same time in 2015.
“They were devastated when they found out about the affair,” a source claims according to the magazine.
