Lopez, 47, visited Ellen DeGeneres and quipped about the fact that, when it comes to the matters of the heart, her choice of partners “has nothing to do with age.”
“If there’s somebody older, they’re older,” she told the talk show host. “If they’re younger, they’re younger. It doesn’t matter. It’s whether or not I’m attracted to them or not, attracted to their spirit, their soul…”
Cut to a few weeks later and we have sources confirming that, although she remains aware of his ‘Ladies Man’ history, JLo has been dating former MLB player A-Rod, “for a few weeks.”

“She seems excited,” a source close to Lopez told PEOPLE magazine. “He has been around her family and she really likes that he is a dad. She is aware, though, that he is a ladies’ man too and is being cautious. For now, it’s just fun. She is single and enjoys dating.”
Rodriguez, 41, recently ended a year-long relationship with Silicon Valley CEO Anne Wojcicki and had been dating A-listers such as Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz in the past. He shares two daughters – 12-year-old Natasha and 8-year-old Ella with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, whom he divorced in 2008. Lopez shares 9-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The fact that they both have kids close in age, plus the fact that Lopez has stressed that her kids “always come first,” may be a part of the reason why this union seems to be sort of a no-brainer – even something along the lines of the makes-perfect-sense category of celeb unions.
