The Big Three – and that major twist!
When we first meet Jack (masterfully portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca Pearson (played beautifully by Mandy Moore), she is in the final stages of pregnancy with triplets. The year is 1980.
In present day, we also meet Kevin (played by the delicious Justin Hartley), Kate (portrayed by the incredible Chrissy Metz) and Randall Pearson (played by the incomparable Sterling K. Brown)
– though, at the time we meet them, we only know that these three characters share the same birthday.
What ensues is, well, on the most talked about twists in recent TV history.
The three, present day 36-year-olds are the babies born in 1980 to Jack and Rebecca – though, not quite. Kate and Kevin are their biological children, while Randall, who completes the ‘big three’ is their adopted brother, whom Jack and Rebecca welcomed into their family following the death of the third triplet.
